Football Season Comes to an End…

Well, another football season has come to an end for my son, definitely a little earlier than we would have liked.  This time, though, it also marks the end of my football coaching career.  Since my son first walked onto the practice field as a second-grader, till he left the field for the final time in youth football as a sixth-grader, I have been there right along with him, fighting the heat in the late summer and the cold in the fall, and feeling the joys of a hard-fought victory and the lows of a disappointing loss.  As he prepares to...

Happy Mother’s Day!

We hope everyone has a great Mother’s Day this weekend! Remember to thank your mother for all she did and still might do for you: the scraped knees she kissed, the monsters she chased away, and, yes, how she brushed your teeth and taught you how to take care of them! At our office, we recognize our job would be impossible without...

Spring Sports in Full Bloom…

This has been an unusual year for for me, coaching-wise. My youngest son is no longer playing travel baseball, and, thus, I am no longer coaching travel baseball.  He has played on a local team for the past four years, and I have helped coach that same team for the past three.  But all good things must come to an end, so… My son also began playing lacrosse two years ago, and really began to enjoy it.  It was hard to manage playing two sports in the same season, but somehow we managed.  Unfortunately, he was often forced to miss...

A Ray of Hope…?

This Thursday, April 27th, 2018, might be the day that Cleveland Browns fans look back on as the day our long, city-wide nightmare ended.  The Browns hold both the #1 pick in this years draft, as well as the #4 pick.  The Browns have the ability to pick two premiere players, two franchise-level talents.  Unfortunately, do we have any reason to trust them to do so? Probably not, but, the odds say that eventually we have to pick a good player or two, merely by accident. So this Thursday, take a moment to watch the NFL Draft, and hopefully...

The State of Dentistry Today…

(the article I am referencing is found at:http://www.motherjones.com/environment/2014/09/dentist-ripping-you-off)   I will admit to being particularly sensitive to news or articles that are negative to the field of dentistry, or cast it in an unflattering light.  It’s human nature to protect and defend things close to us;  obviously dentistry is a large part of my life, so I am always wary of criticism leveled at my profession.   Especially when it is unfair or grossly exaggerated.   Even worse when some of the criticisms are...
